Throughout the year, ISPA receives requests to pass on research studies and surveys to practicing school psychologists. This page is our method of distribution. To submit a request, please email information here. |
You are invited to participate in a survey about school psychologists’ ADHD assessment and identification practices. We believe that the results of this study will provide valuable information to school psychologists about current practices and training needs surrounding autism assessment and identification in schools. Participants must be currently employed as a school psychologist in a public school district in the United States. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board (Protocol #21628) at Indiana University Bloomington. Participation is voluntary and is anticipated to take 15-20 minutes to complete. Participation can lead to a drawing of 1 of 4 $100 Amazon gift cards. All responses will be kept strictly confidential. Participants may opt out at any time. If you are interested in participating in the current study, please select the following link: https://redcap.uits.iu.edu/surveys/?s=YFC3A8C8YP7JF9LN If you have any general questions about the survey, please contact the principal investigator, Maryellen McClain, PhD at 812-856-8036 or mcclainm@iu.edu. (posted 6/26/25) ------------------------------------------- My name is Catherine Falk and I am a Ph.D. School Psychology graduate student at the University of South Dakota. I am currently engaged in research and conducting a study on how school psychologists support their schools, students, and families. The study aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of how school psychologists use their expertise to support individuals, groups, and causes at various levels of practice. I am hoping the results of this study will help to inform university faculty, practitioners, and policymakers about advocacy efforts by school psychologists to improve upon this critical competency within the field. As a leader of your school psychology association, I was hoping you would be willing to send the attached flyer to your organization’s email list or present the opportunity at your next meeting. The survey may be more user-friendly on a computer than a mobile device, so here is a link in addition to the QR code: link.usd.edu/SchoolPsychologySurvey Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, and thank you in advance for considering assisting me in recruiting participants for my study! (posted 6/26/25) ---------------------------------------------- Dear Member of Idaho School Psychology Association, Although we know that the majority of school psychologists report conducting observations, we currently only know that they happen and not how. This study includes a survey questionnaire that aims to gather information about the specific ways in which you conduct classroom observations of student behavior. We would very much appreciate your completion of this survey, which will take approximately 15-20 minutes of your time. In appreciation of your time, you will have the opportunity to enter a drawing in order to win one of four $25 gift cards to an online retailer at the completion of the survey. Your participation in the study is completely voluntary, and your response will be kept anonymous. If you have any questions about this research, you may contact Dr. Amy Briesch at a.briesch@northeastern.edu. If you are interested in participating in this study, you can access the information sheet and survey by following this link: https://neu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0OIM0MVl763vVeS Best, Amy Briesch (posted 6/26/25) --------------------------------------- Hello! I am a part of a research partnership between school psychology programs at Indiana University and the University of Memphis. We are conducting a mixed methods study to better understand how school psychologists of color, particularly those working as practitioners, view social justice and how social justice is applied in their daily practice. This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Boards at Indiana University-Bloomington and the University of Memphis (IRB Protocol # 24295). We are seeking to recruit participants from state associations across the US and were hoping that you might be willing to either pass along this email to your members or allow us to reach your state association members a different way (e.g., your association’s social media site(s) and/or website).
